Frequently asked questions

You’ve got questions?

  • I do, I do!

My office is at 390 Commerce Drive, Ft. Washington, PA.

  • Essentially, the same as in person. Some people really like it - it IS very convenient. We will “meet” through a HIPAA compliant video link, so we will be able to see and hear each other in session. The sessions are the same length as in person (1 hour the first session, 50 minutes after that).

  • Our first session will be an hour. Typically clients come in with a lot on their minds and a lot to say. We may spend most of the session on your story and what brought you to therapy. You may have questions for me too, which I’m happy to answer at any time during our work together.

  • I am an Out Of Network (OON) provider.

My fee is $150 per session. I offer a sliding scale upon request.

  • Before we begin working together you can contact your insurance company to learn what they will reimburse you for therapy, then you’ll know the true out of pocket cost.

At the end of the month, I'll send you a Superbill (invoice) for you to submit to your insurance company. They will send the reimbursement directly to you.

To learn more about why I - and many other therapists - don't take insurance, NPR has an article. You can find it here: https://www.npr.org/sections/shots-health-news/2024/08/24/nx-s1-5028551/insurance-therapy-therapist-mental-health-coverage

  • The truth is, I don’t know. In the beginning, especially if you want to change some things that are going on in your life, I would expect we would meet weekly for 4-6 weeks. After that, we can gauge how the process is working for you and adjust as needed.

  • A Good Faith Estimate helps clients understand and plan for costs. This estimate is available upon request at any time during our work together.
